When using the product, oil/water emulsions are destroyed, the aqueous phase is separated from the oil, and the content of chloride salts is reduced to the required level in order to reduce equipment corrosion.
The product can also be used in secondary oil refining processes for better separation of the aqueous phase from the oil product in separators by settling.
